Because these latest pictures are in an album titled: Spring ‘09. Life is very busy these days, even though we don’t seem to be doing much. We just keep reminding ourselves that someday Julia will sleep through the night like Jacob – and she might stop screaming too.

Aside from bouts of screaming and sleeplessness, Julia is doing great. She starting to use some of the standing/bouncing toys, and she is using her hands a bit to grab and eat toys.

Jacob is now in his big-boy-bed, and had a blast when we went to New Hampshire a few weeks ago. He still asks daily if we’re going back, I guess we’ll have to soon. We had our first night out recently with a non-grandmother babysitting. Gotta work on making that a habit.

Jacob still isn’t old enough to understand much, but he seems to really enjoy getting presents, so that’s been fun to watch. Julia is doing well and is gaining weight at a nice clip, though she seems to have pretty constant reflux. This means that most of the time, awake = screaming, though we’re learning some techniques to mitigate the discomfort, and it seems to be helping.

Aside from the holiday stuff, we’ve been digging out from our first big snowstorm, learning how to travel with two rugrats, and taking lots of pictures. Check out these pics, and more in the gallery.

Juila is doing well, sleeping for 3 hours at a time, followed by an hour or two of intermittent eat/scream/snooze/look-around. She also has very bad breath, not sure what’s going on there…

Jacob is doing well, although he’s been a bit of a brat around dinnertime lately. Not sure if this is a normal developmental stage or a new-sibling phenomenon, but I guess it doesn’t really matter, it sucks either way. Aside from that, he’s been doing pretty good, considering Tara and I have each become single parents of one child each for the last couple of weeks.

There are a few new pics up in the gallery. Here’s two favs, one of Jacob and Julia, and one of Julia and our friend Cece in full lounge mode – taken just a few days before Cece had her little boy, congrats!

Julia still sleeps pretty much whenever she isn’t eating – I forgot how little newborns actually do. Jacob is doing well, though being cooped up for five days by weather and holidays was a bit tough. I think he’s glad to be back at school today. Tara is doing great, and is ready for some sushi.

Mom and Julia are both doing well, I’m heading back in a bit to introduce Jacob to his new little sister.
