More baby news

I know, two posts in a week, a record for sure. We had our ultrasound today, after braving crazy rain and traffic (why is our ultrasound place in Boston when our OB and Hospital are in Newton?) All seems well, and we appear to have a little girl in there! Guess we have to buy new clothes now…

Another long overdue post

Yup, almost 2 months between posts, we’re lazy. Lots going on, tons of words and general cuteness. Tara is already starting to get tired of being pregnant and being a mother at the same time, which bodes well for the rest of the summer. We took a trip up to Maine with our friends Becky, Marcus and Christopher a few weekends ago, and Jacob did really well. Very encouraging as we get ready for our cruise to Bermuda this summer - first week-long family vacation!

No new pictures this post, we’ve been taking plenty but haven’t been posting them. We’ll post again soon, promise. ‘Til then, enjoy a short video with some reading, and Jacob’s take on his first ice cream cone.

A little news

Been busy and/or lazy lately, but here’s what’s goin’ down. Jacob’s doing well, his vocabulary continues to grow and grow. We’ve had some two word combos - “help digger”, “bye bye da da” - and he is starting to ask for milk or water when he’s thirsty instead of whining, which is pretty neat.

We’ve made a few trips to the farm, and just got a membership at the discovery museum down the road, which Jacob is nutty about. He especially liked a pair of big leopards in the safari room, wouldn’t leave them alone. Even did well when some other kids started playing with them, which was nice. Check out the gallery for some pics from there, as well as other shots from the last month or so.

The other bit of news is that we’re expecting again! I think November 25th is the date, though I’m hoping for a couple of day’s later on Jacob’s birthday (maybe because I share a birthday with my mom). Tara, understandably, is not hoping to be 3 days late :) We’re pretty excited, and just starting to realize how much we need to do to get ready for number 2!
